All 9 of the Maryland connections competing today at the 2026 American Eventing Championships completed their dressage tests and moved on to their cross country phase tomorrow.
Overnight Standings & Ride Times for Wednesday
Open Intermediate:
- Point Nemo and Carlin Keefe are in 24th place out of 50 after dressage and start their cross country run tomorrow at 3:24 p.m.
- Quiberon is 49th after dressage and will go out on cross county at 4:00 p.m.
Open Preliminary:
- Tracy Bienemann and Menlo Park are 14th out of 18 after dressage and start on cross county at 1:00 p.m.
Preliminary Amateur:
- Wonderful Courage is 7th out of 15 after dressage; he will be out early on cross country tomorrow, at 8:41 am
Modified Amateur:
- Magnific c’Imagination is 3rd out of 18 after dressage; her cross country time tomorrow is 8:44 a.m.
- Ameristan is 4th out of 18 after dressage and follows Magnific c’Imagination out on cross county at 9:00 a.m.
Modified Rider:
- Emma Whitaker and Sing to Me Cooley are 11th out of 25 after dressage and start cross county at 9:20 a.m.
- Ryan Keefe and Quality Outlaw are 21st out of 25 after dressage and go out on cross country at 9:44 a.m.
Three new Maryland-bred horses and four new Maryland riders kick off their AEC competition with dressage on Wednesday.
The first Maryland-bred in the dressage arena on Wednesday is Cakewalk, a 2018 Oldenburg mare (Coeur d’Amour x Rubintanz WOR (Rosenthal)), bred by High Point Hanoverians in Chestertown and ridden by Catherine Ramsay of Culpeper, Virginia. They are entered in the Training Rider division and their dressage time is 9:30 a.m. Cakewalk won two Training divisions earlier this year — one at the Virginia Horse Center on May 21 and one at Hunt Club in Berryville, Virginia on July 26.
The second Maryland-bred out is Crescenda, a 2016 Hanoverian mare (Contratto x Gi Gi Giselle (Grandom)), bred by Fox Lair Sporthorses in White Plains and ridden by former Olympian Linden Wiesman of White Post, Virginia. The pair is entered in the Training Horse division and their dressage time is 11:30 a.m.
The third new Maryland-bred out tomorrow is Bonaire, a 2014 Rheinlander mare (Bliss MF x Avalon xx (MD) (Quiet American)), bred by Dr. Elizabeth Callahan of Oxford and ridden by Ava Wehde of Ocala, Florida. Bonaire is the only Maryland-bred in the Advanced division this year. She and Wehde competed in the Advanced division two years ago at the 2024 AECs, finishing 29th overall. Their dressage time is 11:42 a.m.
The first Maryland rider in the dressage ring tomorrow is Kendall Fansler of Clarksville and her Irish-bred Cooley Bounce (Grange Bouncer x Smart Fair Lady (Master Imp xx)) in the Junior Training division at 8:24 a.m.
Next out is Savannah Fulton of Finskburg, one of only two Maryland rider in the Advanced division, on Nelson Warnell’s German-bred 2015 Holsteiner gelding Cash Point (Cashandcarry x Up to Date 15 (Almoretto)). They ride at 9:57 a.m.
The third out is Tracy Bienemann of Lothian, the other Maryland rider in the Advanced division, who takes the 2016 Florida-bred Thoroughbred gelding Venezuelan River (Mucho Macho Man x Shehaseyesforyou (Is It True?)) into the dressage ring at 10:39 a.m.
Next is Jessica Goldberg of Silver Spring takes America Runs on Duncan, a 2012 Kentucky-bred Thoroughbred gelding (Bellamy Road x Don’t Steal My Thunder (Thunder Gulch)), into the Training Amateur dressage ring at 11:06 a.m.
Donald Ruths of Federalsburg is out on Raven, his 2017 Friesian/Percheron gelding, in the Training Amateur at 1:00 p.m.
And last but not least is Savannah Fulton again, this time on Balou du Etoiles, her 2020 German-bred Holsteiner gelding (Balou Star x Inschuschuna 1 (Lord Fauntleroy)). They are entered in the Training Horse division and their dressage time is 2:00 p.m.
